A JOURNEY OF 80 HOURS TO REMEMBER: “Work Immersion”

MARK JOBERT CASTRO (Bayanan National High School)

“We are one in our Work Immersion”. 10 Days, 80 hours, 8 hours a Day. Work Immersion empowers people to realized their dreams and improves their lives. Everyone has a blissful stories within 80 hours, time runs and experience were store in mind. An unforgettable memories that we compiled. The only way to do great work is to love what you do. That’s one of the best things I’ve learned during my Work Immersion. Every time-lapse memories counts, attendance every morning and afternoon, handled class of Grade 7,8, and 9 in Science, English, T.L.E, and Math subjects, washing dishes in canteen, every task I accomplished I feel great. My mission is to comply 80 hours in a couple of weeks and 8 hours a day, For me it is too short to know what path you take, but Work immersion proves that being Teacher a second parent’s in school who sacrifice their time, efforts and vigor is the hardest thing for being one. But the way the students follow me, the way I restrain them, the way they answered my questions, every time that they respect me, I enjoyed every second of that. It’s a VALENTINE’S DAY, February 14 someone gave me a heart-shaped balloon and says that I’m her inspiration, imagine she’s only Grade 7 and I just Laugh thinking what I have to be someone’s inspiration.

Remember: ” Do the best you can, until you know Better. Then when you know better, do BETTER”

JOHNLLOYD CORNERO (Sangguniang Bayan)

Within 10 days, I realized and learned a lot. I learned how the session is. I learned how to approve the annual and supplemental budget of 29 barangay. I learned how to make minutes of the meeting easier. I learned how to encode minutes of the meeting in computer. how to sort out the approved and revised annual and supplemental budget of 29 barangay. I learned to photocopy many important documents and sort it. And I realized that I need to be industrious Especially during work hours, I have to be kind to all my co-workers, I have to be always right on time and not to be late. I keep it in my mind as if this is a real job, and of course I need to sleep well in time so that I am not dizzy or tired easily when working. I have to put aside everything I do that is not good at looking work, and of course I also have to put aside those things that I used to do, which is not allowed to do now, because it’s a work immersion and we know that work immersion is like a real work.

PRINCESS ALABASTRO ( San Pascual Central School)

In my ten days doing work immersion,I experienced to teach Math subject, observed and I also learn new strategies in teaching and how to compute the results in terms of Reading Comprehension of each section. I also experience to let my students read the “abakada” for almost 3 hours, that was tiring but I enjoy it a lot because I knew in myself that I am helping those students who don’t know how to read. There are times as well that some students are naughty and keeps roaming around the classroom. I realized in doing work immersion that teaching is easy but sometimes naughty and play full students inside the class gives teachers hard time. During my ten days work immersion I feel that they also treat me as a true teacher and also a sister. Every time they see me they greet me happily that makes me happy because even they are quite play full inside the classroom they have a big heart to their teacher. In my last day of work immersion I received letters and snacks from my students. My work immersion experience is tiring but happy as well that I will treasure all my life.

CHINA AGONCILLO (San Antonio Elementary School)

In my ten days of Work Immersion, I know that I’ve done a good job. Although it is hard, I am super happy that I experience it. At my first day of immersion I am super overwhelmed because of the soft greetings of the students and teachers of San Antonio Elementary School. I saw at the students eyes that they are happy and excited that I will be their teacher in about 10 days and because of that I have now the interest to teach them so I gave my best and all my powers for them to learn with me. I gathered so much leanings through them, I learned to widen my patience, to love and enjoy what is hard for you because it is the way to make your weakness to become your strength. I honestly admit that I am not good at communicating and talking in front but because of this immersion that weakness is now became my strength.
